The rest of the relief on the left is taken up by a number of seated men, among whom at any rate, we can suppose the merchants giving information and perhaps part of the king's retinue. Two of the foremost by their gestures, are the spokesmen. The king listens, thoughtfully staring in front of him. In the background on the left are a pair of birds in flight, a tree and the royal umbrella.
