Robert Stackhouse was born in Bronxville, New York, USA. He has studied Fine Art theory and practice at 3 American University colleges. However, he is most acclaimed for his work, as artist-in-residence with community groups, such as the Oliver Ranch project.
Stackhouse is currently a visiting lecturer at both the University of Hawaii and the University of Denver, Colorado. Nevertheless, he still regards New York as his permanent home.
