SCULPTURES IN THE GROUNDS OF THE NATIONAL GALLERY OF AUSTRALIA

NGA

The front of the National Gallery of Australia, from the corner of King Edward Terrace and Parkes Place, Canberra

The collection of the National Gallery of Australia spans some 5000 years of world culture with almost 100,000 works drawn from every branch of the visual arts, including paintings, photographs, fashions, decorative arts and sculpture.

The 20 sculptures currently on permanent display in the grounds are a microcosm of sculptural forms created during the past century, since Auguste Rodin's "The Burghers of Calais" 1884-1886.
